Quartz Crystals
They're all over my house.
Quartz is the most common mineral on the face of the earth. Some say the crystals have magic healing properties. They have been used for years to stabilize radio frequencies and keep watches accurate. So, why shouldn't they be used to channel and strengthen spiritual energy? I am not sure what I believe, or if crystals really are magic, but I have been fascinated by them for more than twenty years, and will probably continue to collect them and give them away as gifts for the rest of my life.
Here's the latest addition to my collection.
Spanish Quartz. I particularly like this one because of its color, and because it is double-pointed. Also, there's a tiny crystal pup that grew out of it.
Mr. Celia found this crystal for me in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
I like to look at them,
wear them,
and sometimes I carry one around in my pocket if I am feeling particulary vulnerable, irritable, or just plain blue.
Maybe having one in my pocket keeps me on the planet. Maybe they do have healing properties.
Or maybe I just like them because they are so darned pretty.
