    Kickin' It with the Boyo

Not much knitting going on here this week. First, there's the back thing.  It feels a lot less painful, but still unstable. So, I'm resting and stretching as much as possible. Second, in less than a week, the Boyo heads back to Zurich and then on to Milan for a semester of Italian studies. So I am spending most of my spare time just hanging out, or kickin' it, with the Boyo. We are talking a lot about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. He's twenty one. So young. He's got a pretty good perspective on almost everything. But he needs someone to bounce things off. I feel fortunate that he'll talk to me. And mostly I just listen and ask a few questions, while he works it through.

I sure am proud of who he is and how he's turning out.

I'm glad you're on the mend!

That's one of the secrets to being one he'll "talk to," isn't it -- to be there for the bouncing off of ideas, as well as the listening, asking a few (very careful and choice) questions, more listening, and sometimes laughing?

I sat in Katie's apartment yesterday... listening.
    ; )

    Good job, Mom!

Such a world traveler - and he still talks to you, sounds fantastic.
