Alterations Month
It's January, and people all over blogland are making resolutions: knit from your stash, UFO Ressurection Challenge, run walk 100 200 miles and knit 1 mile of sock yarn by April 1. I'm participating in all of these, but I wanted to also make a dent in the alterations and repairs that have piled up in the past year. You know, new trousers that need hemming (new trousers that have been languishing in the pile since last February), repairs for Mr. Celia, and some of the Girlie's recent purchases that need a nip here and a tuck there. And then there is the cashemere pullover that wants to become a cardigan.
I had this post all thought out. I meant to write it last week, with accompanying photos. It was supposed to be called "Alterations Day" Then last weekend came and went and I thought "Alterations Week" might be more appropriate. Well, this weekend came and went, too and now it will be "Alterations Month". I am not going to have an "Alterations Year."
So far, I have completed one repair and I've embarked on the cashmere project, which is taking a lot longer than I had planned.
So no project photos today.
Just this one of nineteen fat robins in the tree down the street
And I'm so proud that I'm already ahead of the game in my mileage for last week
I needed 33.33 but I'm up to 37.98! I'm gonna hit fifty miles by Friday.
And, please, go check out International Pajama Day for the first in a series of countdown tips
Holy Crap! I'm late for work!
As usual.

Ack, please don't remind me about the mending that's piled up...
