My pal, Joan, from the olden days - thirty years ago - is here. We've been rehearsing all weekend for The Fringe Show . Darlings, it's been heaven. Busy, but h-e-a-v-e-n. It's just like riding a bicycle, well...not really but I think you know what I mean.
And don't think because I've been busy rehearsing that knitting has fallen by the wayside. Really not fallen by the wayside. In fact it's gone center stage, in more ways than one, but you'll have to come and see the show to know what I mean. One bit may even fall into the category of extreme knitting.
I also got this idea that maybe I should be wearing a felted bowler onstage. You know, like The Red Hat? Only gray. So we bought the yarn on Saturday
Manos, baby, manos.
I cast on Saturday night
and by Sunday night, it was finished.
Rasta hat, vibrations whoa!
But look at the transformation! Later Sunday night, darlings, it was felted and blocked.
And this afternoon I wore it during the tech rehearsal.
So if you're in the Bay Area, come and see us, knitted costume pieces, and extreme knitting at The Fringe.
