My friends, it is 7:45 on Sunday evening and I am still wearing pajamas that I put on Saturday night at 11:15 p.m. My DH has been off playing in a golf tournament and I have spend almost the entire day sitting on my bed. I've watched two movies: "The Magdalene Sisters" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", both of which I liked for different reasons. I've done four loads of laundry and I have knitted, mostly on the Manalong sweater I'm making for Owen. I ripped out what I'd started previously, because I got lost and hadn't been following the pattern, so really I started over at about 8:00 this morning.
I've knit about nineteen inches since then:

This has been my kind of day.
And here's who kept me company all day long:

Ms. Schatzi.
Mostly she's just been snoozing:

She likes having this kind of day, too.
And brother Timothy called this afternoon from NYC to debrief about his election work in Ohio. We commiserated about the election results, and work, and life in general. And he'll be here for three weeks during the holidays. I can hardly wait to see him.
Yesterday, we watched the Cal Bears win their game against the Oregon Ducks. 28 to 27. It as a real nail biter. Woo Hoo!! I'm so fired up about the team, I bought this blue & gold Lorna's Laces sock yarn at my LYS and started a sock during the game:

Somebody will be wearing these socks at the Big Game rally on Nov. 19th.
Since several readers asked me to, I spend quite a bit of time yesterday, trying to get a good picture of the new eggplant hair. It's hard to get a good photo for two reasons: 1) my hair is pretty gol darned short, and 2) the color is fairly subtle. This is the best I could do:

As you can see, the bangs are still platinum.
Finally, the red felted possum yarn hat is almost done. Here's what it looked like Friday afternoon:

I've knit quite a bit more since then and I'm just about ready to decrease at the crown. So I think I'll be able to finish during my lunch hour tomorrow. And then felt tomorow night? I'll let you know.
Pajama Day every now and then is just so satisfying.
