What I'm Up To

I'm In the middle of my Midsummer Pajama Daze.

Pjs

I'm watchin' a buncha movies, eating well, knitting a bit, and not talkin' much. Just don't feel like it.

This is my kind of summer vacation.

Correction: Pajama DAZE

Midsummer Pajama Day is shaping up to be a two-day event. It looks like I'll be at home alone on July 4th and I plan to take full advantage of the long weekend, spending July 4th and 5th in my pajamas. I really need to stay home, organize my thoughts (and my life) and all that good stuff. Hell, if I'm lucky, I may even be able to never leave the house all weekend. That would be grand.

Join me for Midsummer Pajama Daze July 4 &5 (& maybe 6).

Midsummer Pajama Day

OK, I know technically it's not exactly the middle of summer.  That's not until August something. But I am ready NOW! Let's celebrate fire season in California by staying inside (we are advised to do so) and relaxing in our summer pajamas. Hell, I may even make it a pajama weekend. Won't you join me?

Wear pajamas all day.

Isn't It Time?

For another Pajama Day?  The last one was...back in November. I am really dying to stay in all day. But...I've been invited to knit with friends. Hard invitation to turn down. So I'm going...in my pajamas. It's going to be a rainy and blustery weekend in the Bay Area. Perfect for a Pajama Day. How will you spend it?

All day

Put your feet up, relax, knit a little, enjoy yourself. You know you deserve it!

GO!

I was in my pajamas by the end of last night's wet and disappointing football game, having spent most of Saturday laying in provisions and preparing for a quiet day at home today. How long will I stay this way? Only time will tell, but I have Monday off. Can I extend the holiday weekend into a 50+ hour Pajama Marathon?

For me, the point of a pajama day is simply to stay at home and do whatever I want. I don't know about you, but I have to schedule days like this, and the easiest way to enforce the stay-at-home rule is to stay in my pajamas.

On the possible to-do list (in no particular order):

Finish Tilted Duster
Hang Lace Valances
Organize Desk
Work on ISE5 Scarf
Work on Citrine Socklets
Make bread
Laundry
Watch Little Children and Sylvia
Hang out with the Girlie
Make Dinner
Catch up on Heroes and 30 Rock
Take a Nap

But the point is no stress. Relax, baby. Put your feet up. Take a moment (or the whole day!) for yourself.

You deserve it! You need it!

And you know you want to.
